2. Select and Reserve the Right Dog
Fortress K9 evaluates your lifestyle, handling experience, household environment, security concerns, and protection requirements.
We then recommend the training level and available dogs that provide the complete package for your situation: strong presence, stable temperament, clear control, and real-world protection capability.
You can review the dog’s information, photos, videos, and training progress. Meeting the dog may also be appropriate in some cases.
When the correct match is identified, you sign the agreement and reserve the dog with your deposit.
After Your Dog Is Reserved
Your dog’s training continues after the reservation.
We use that time to prepare the dog around your routines, environment, household expectations, public movement, travel needs, and intended protection role.
Most Fortress K9 clients use a 3-, 6-, 12-, or 18-month payment schedule. We select a dog with approximately that amount of development time remaining so the dog’s training, your payment schedule, and your preparation move forward together.
3. Complete Integration Training and Bring Your Dog Home
The final stage is five days of hands-on Integration Training.
You learn how the dog was trained, how to maintain obedience and control, how to handle the dog during normal daily life, how to respond when protection is required, and how to regain control after the threat ends.
Family Protection clients may complete Integration Training at Fortress K9 or add At-Home Integration and Delivery.
Elite Protection Dogs include At-Home Integration and Delivery, allowing the training to take place inside the environment where the dog will actually live and protect.
